On Space Day, you can participate in the lively Cyber Space Day Webcast, the
only annual webcast devoted to space science, math and technology.
Youngsters and space enthusiasts can interact "live" with a wide range of
aviation and aerospace experts who are currently working on the next
generation of space planes. The event is one of many exciting activities
that will occur on Space Day 2003SM…Celebrating the Future of Flight.

Guests will include Senator John Glenn, co-chair of Space Day, Fred Gregory,
Deputy Administrator for NASA; Anna-Maria McGowan, manager for the
futuristic Morphing Program at Langley Research Center; and Garry Lyles,
manager of the Next Generation Launch Technologies Program and several
experts in aerospace and aviation. Several students who developed "Stellar"
solutions to this year’s Space DaySM Design Challenges that focus on
aviation and aerospace in the 21st century will take be interviewed.

The Cyber Space Day Webcast will be from Noon-1 p.m., May 1 ET and is
available at www.spaceday.org/en/teachers/cyberday.php. It also available
via satellite. Go to the Web page to get the satellite coordinates.
 

Cyber Space Day will also lead in to two more hours of Space Day programming
being offered to classrooms to educate students about space and the future
of flight. As part of the national Space Day celebration, students can
interact live with three Webcasts, available online or via satellite.
Following Cyber Space Day will be:

   1 pm ‚ 2 pm, ET - Countdown to Mars Hosted by Bill Nye, the "Science
Guy," this television special offers a behind-the-scenes look at NASA's 2003
Mars Exploration Rover project. Originating from DePaul University in
Chicago and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, the program will
air nationally on PBS stations and NASA-TV. Log on to

   2 pm ‚ 3 pm, ET- NASA Quest Webcast This March, NASA invited teachers and
students to submit designs for robot "helpers" to assist astronauts aboard
the International Space Station. NASA's ISS Robot Challenge team will review
student’s submissions and answer questions online. Log on to
