Project Details
-------------------
Project Level: Basic
Curriculum Area: Community Interest, Health and Physical Education, History and Social Studies, Science, Technology
Technologies Used: Email
Project Sponsor: n/a
Full Project Description:
This latest installment of the project will involve getting to know
people from around the world better and discussing a most critical global
issue: water. Our first task will be to collect data related to how much
water we use; this is being done through the cooperation of our sister
project, called "Down the Drain."
We are currently seeking students to share their experiences involving their use of water, how their economic condition and health relate to it, and whether they have enough access to water.
We hope to correspond with others via email or a web log that will be established in the beginning of 2004. In the past, this project has been used to conduct surveys measuring global awareness, create case study reports, and even raise money to help build homes for earthquake victims in India.
Objectives:
To establish a collaborative effort to examine--and raise awareness
of--issues related to water.
