Full Project Description:
As teachers of ten to fourteen-year-olds, you are intimately familiar with the physical, social/emotional, and intellectual changes and challenges facing middle schoolers. These pre-adolescents are chronic worriers about how others see them; they truly believe the world is a mirror. Reflective writings provide opportunities for students to explore their feelings, during this transitional period in their lives

I would invite your students to share their writings, including poetry, short stories, and expository writing, based on the theme, Middle School Blues. Student works will be posted on the internet, to share with a extended audience. The project is limited to 10 participating classes, representative of the global community.
